Most newer cars have what is called a serpentine belt. This belt needs to be changed because it is made of rubber and can crack and harden over time. The serpentine belt is important because it can affect your alternator, power steering, or your air conditioning. Make sure all of your belts are in working order, they are an easy fix, but a crucial part of proper vehicular functionality.
